The CIGB-ICOLD Organizing Committee for ICOLD 2012 Kyoto is pleased to invite professionals, managers and decision makers from the international dam community to the International Symposium on DAMS FOR A CHANGING WORLD, Need for Knowledge Transfer across the Generation & the World. The Symposium will be held on June 5 during the 80th Annual Meeting and the 24th Congress from June 2 to 8, 2012.

The Symposium will be organized so as to give as much time to speakers for discussions. To stimulate discussion on the oral presentations, experts will be asked to present the latest developments in their field of expertise and to give his/her views on the key issues raised and interact with participants during Q&A sessions.
Papers will be presented orally by authors or postered in the lobby adjacent to the meeting room.
Orally presented papers will be published in the symposium proceedings, whilst the total papers at the Symposium will be available on CD-ROM. The official language will be English only.
The authors wishing to make a presentation and other participants to the Symposium are requested to register to the 80th ICOLD Annual Meeting and the 24th ICOLD Congress prior to the symposium, following the instruction shown in the web site of http://icold2012kyoto.org/
